The Essentials

ABOUT GOD: There is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being who are to be equally loved. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, perfect in holiness, all powerful and all knowing.  Out of His perfect nature flows His completely trustworthy Word, a guide for all people to an intimate and healing relationship with Himself.

ABOUT THE CREATION : We are the special creation of God, made in His own image, created male and female as the best work of His creation - and caretakers of the rest of His creation.  Therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and love.  In the beginning, people shared intimate community with God, innocent of sin, but all humanity participated in and suffered from Adam's fall from his original sinless state and became separated from God and totally helpless to repair the relationship.

ABOUT THE RESTORATION : God, out of His own unfathomable love and mercy, restores His relationship with people.  By the power of the Holy Spirit and the sacrificial death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, He rescues people from every nation to bring glory to Himself.  By believing in Christ as Savior by faith through grace, people become children of God, part of the church, the family of God, and join God in the accomplishment of His purposes.
